Hard Boiled Eggs

There are a few ways to cook hard boiled eggs.  The basic way that is shown in the 7 days to perfection is to fill the mixing bowl with 1200g of water.  Insert the simmering basket & place the eggs in the simmering basket.

This method is kind of waste water. So, here is another way which use 1/2 amount of the water.

Method 1 (Cook from just 1-5 eggs, depend on the size of the eggs)

SIMMERING BASKET METHOD
Ingredients:
Eggs, room temperature
500g  water

1.  Fill water to into mixing bowl.  Insert simmering basket & place in the eggs.

(A) For this egg  texture,
    11mins / varoma / speed 1

(B) For this egg  texture,
    12mins / varoma / speed 1

Note:
After the time is up, have to run the eggs in cold water or immerse in water, else it will continue to "cook" till it turn to firm yolk & the soft yolk effect will not be there anymore.
  •  For hard firm yolk, cook
     14 mins / varoma / speed 1

Method 2 (Cook from just 1 egg to more than 10 eggs, depending on the size of the eggs)

VAROMA DISH METHOD

(A) For this egg  texture,
12mins / varoma / speed 1

(B) For this egg  texture,

Note:
After the time is up, have to run the eggs in cold water, else it will continue to "cook" till it turn to firm yolk & the soft yolk effect will not be there anymore.

I'm a busy working mum. Despite of the busy work, I hope to provide my family with home-cooked food whenever possible. I came across thermomix and it can fulfill my wish and also bring alot of cooking joy. I like to do research and development on baking and cooking. I am still trying to explore what it can do. If you are a thermomix owner, I hope this information will help you and we can learn together. If you do not own one and wanted to know more about it, I am more delighted to share with you.
