Salted Chicken ( 焗盐鸡)

This is quite easy dish.  Is a trial to see what other ways we can cook the whole chicken in thermomix & this is a good one.


Ingredients:
1                  chicken (1kg)
1/4 cup      salt
1/4 tsp       Turemic powder
3 slices      ginger
2-3 stalks  spring onion
1 tbsp         rose wine (optional)
1 tbsp        Sea salt
80g              water

1) Rub the 1/4 cup of salt all over 
     the chicken.  This is to 
     exfoliating the chicken and also  
     remove the 'chicken smell'. Also 
     rub the salt in the inner part of 
     the chicken

2) Wash away the salt and pat dry  
     the chicken with kitchen towel.  
     Mix the Turemic and sea salt  
     together. Follow by rose wine ( if 
     any). Rub all over the chicken 
     again and marinate it for at least  
     2 hrs.
3) Stuff the chicken cavity with ginger and the spring onion.
4) Make sure the chicken 'sits' well 
     on top of the blades and the 
     blade can turn smoothly. 

5) Add rose wine with 80g of water.       Pour into the chicken.
      30m / Var / R. Spoon

6) After it is done, leave in the TM          bowl for another 10- 15 mins.
Note: No worries if you worry the base will burnt as the chicken will still produce more liquid during cooking process.
