Basil Pork

I grow my own basil as this plant is easy to grow.  Just let it have lots of sunlight & water & it will grow very well.  You can have this as just one meal.  Ear with white rice and a fried egg.  This portion will be good for 2.

250g        minced pork
30g         oil
2 cloves  garlic, peeled
10g         onions, peeled
1            bird eye chilli, cut (optional)
10g        fish sauce
20g        oyster sauce
a dash of pepper
10g        sugar
30g        green beans, cut into bit-size
5g          fresh basil leaves

Note:
1.    You can replace minced pork with chicken.
2.    You can omit green beans & chilli in case it is not available in your fridge.
3.     If you have extra basil, can use to cook 3 cups chicken or make Napoleon sauce for pasta.

To make a one dish meal:
Cook rice & hard boiled egg in advance.

Serves 2:

120g  jasmine rice
Water
2 eggs

1.  Weigh and wash the rice  with the simmering basket in the TM bowl.

2. Fill water in TM bowl till it just cover the rice.
3. Cover the TM bowl without the MC.  Put the varoma dish on top with the 2 eggs in it.

I'm a busy working mum. Despite of the busy work, I hope to provide my family with home-cooked food whenever possible. I came across thermomix and it can fulfill my wish and also bring alot of cooking joy. I like to do research and development on baking and cooking. I am still trying to explore what it can do. If you are a thermomix owner, I hope this information will help you and we can learn together. If you do not own one and wanted to know more about it, I am more delighted to share with you.
