The rice I used is pearl rice. If you are using jasmine rice and did not achieve the texture that I am getting you can do the following step after step 2. Blend.

**Note with Caution:
It is best that you use simmering basket to cover instead of the MC. Have to watch over it when it is boiling as the porridge may splash out from the cover. If so, reduce the heat.

This Taiwan rice is recommended to me by my neighbour's mum. Indeed a good recommendation. This can be found in Sheng Siong. I have managed to take a photo of the rice to show u all. Cheap and good. The porridge shown in here is cooked with the Taiwan rice.
